What is IRMAA?

The amount you pay for your Part B and Part D premiums are determined by your income. Social Security looks back two years to determine your premiums. This is the current Income Related Monthly Adjustment Amount (IRMAA) Bracket. You can download it using the button below.

If you're retiring, chances are your income this year will be less than it was two years ago. Not to worry. There's a simple appeals form (SSA-44) to fill out so you can estimate what your income will be this year. If this year's estimate puts you into a lower bracket, we highly recommend you fill out the appeal once you've gotten your Premium notification from Social Security. We'll talk you through it. It's easy!
